Storytime for Grownups showcases indie & traditionally published authors of various genre & writing styles. Storytime for Grownups is an fantastic family of authors from all backgrounds, experience, ability and are located throughout the world. Storytime for Grownups is co-produced by Guru Art Lifestyle Entertainment, and Jacqueline Belle. It is hosted by avatar, Moomii, and narrated by Jacqueline Belle. Videos, images and music are created or arranged by Guru Art Official.
Each series of Storytime for Grownups contains 25 stories of varying genre. At the end of each series, we have three weeks of celebrations that promote each individual author per day with an author showcase. These showcases vary slightly each series but they are a great way for authors to recognise the work they have achieved during the series and way for them to share their showcase with their communities.

Storytime for Grownups is a long term commitment and is based on sharing and supporting the other Storytime for Grownups authors. We encourage the authors to support each others’ work and help each other when needed. At Storytime for Grownups we believe that together we are stronger. Together, we can become better writers and better supporters of our own work and that of others. As a family and individuals, we are always learning, growing and changing.
Storytime for Grownups was build during a global emergency, it evolved during an extremely difficult time for everyone. We were all challenged and one by one we came together … we created something together that is bigger than the sun if its’ parts.

Storytime for Submission Guidelines:
This series is intended support authors from all backgrounds, experience, genre, writing styles, geographical location and budget. Therefore, there is no cost to be included in Storytime for Grownups. That being said, we do encourage authors that have means within their budget to purchase their episode. There are several reasons for this:
- The author will have permanent access and own their episode of Storytime for Grownups liscensed for promotional use through YouTube. Many authors utilise these files on their author website or YouTube channel. We can suggest other more detailed ways of using these files upon request.
- Secondly, it supports Storytime for Grownups and it supports Daniel and Jacqueline’s time, energy and resource commitment to the project. Without author investment into their video files, Storytime for Grownups could not exist in its current form.
Submissions:
All submissions must be in PDF format and submitted with the subject line:
“Submission – Storytime for Grownups” to JacquelineBellePoems (at) gmail.com
Starting in series three, submissions are limited to 250 words unless an author makes prior commitment to purchase their episode. Authors that make a prior commitment will be invoiced using the Storytime for Grownups discounted rate as follows:
After submission accepted:
Once a submission has been accepted, the narration will be recorded by Jacqueline Belle and an unlisted link will be sent to the author for approval. Authors should listen carefully and note any changes to pronounciation, timing, omissions or errors. Please provide Jacqueline with a list of changes and she will made every effort to amend the audio file to meet the authors requests. Please note that this file is raw and has not gone through audio engineering until after approval.
After Audio Approval:
Once the audio file is approved, the file and any author requests will be sent to Daniel for videography. The author will not see their episode until the release date. We always do our best to accommodate release date requests but due to production restraints this is not always possible. Storytime for grownups stories are pinned on @Moomii_Moo twitter account and promoted for four days, normally Thursday-Sunday. There are some exceptions during Series Three and authors will be notified when they are given their release date.
What happens next:
If the author is purchasing their episode, they will be invoiced and once payment is received, their files will be transferred via email and the author will notified of their release date and time. We ask that authors wait until their episode has run its four days on Storytime for Growups before uploading for their own promotion.
If an author choses to linked through YouTube.com/JacquelineBellePoems channel to access and promote their episode that is completely acceptable as there is no obligation to purchase the episode and it is extremely important to us at Storytime for Grownups that all authors have the opportunity to be included despite budget or economic background. This was one of the building blocks of Storytime for Growups and it is one that continues to be of high importance to us as creators and producers of Storytime for Grownups.
Merchandise:
Each series of Storytime for Grownups has a special design created to commemorate the authors and the series. Each author in the series will have their twitter handle included in the design. We also like to include past authors who are still in the Storytime family but not in the current series and special alumni. We sell this merchandise below the recommended retail price and a wide range of price options so that more authors and supporters have an opportunity to purchase their series design. Funds raised from the merchandise is reinvested in Storytime for Grownups project.
